SUNDAY 13TH APRIL 2008 HINCKLEY SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION 3
Nelson Football Club 1
Market Bosworth 2000 FC 4 Brown 7' Holmes 52' Butler 68' J. Sharpe 82'
With the University boys back for easter break, MK2000 Gaffer Tim Wilson had a real selection headache. With a record 18 players at his disposal, the decision was made to play the originals and they didn't disappoint, with a 4-1 deafeat of 4th place and County Cup finalists.
Another captains display from Tom Alesbrook pushed the away side good win, his through ball sent the lightning paced Mitchell Brown through one on one, to make it one, nil very early. Jamie Robinson gave away a blatant penalty 10 mintues before half time, after a cinical challenge on the home sides striker, who duely placed the penalty beyond Phil Holdsworth. The second half started just the same as the first half for Market Bosworth 2000, when substitute John Holmes pounced on a loose ball from a corner. Scoring with virtually his first touch. Michael Butler made it 3-1 when his audacious strike flew past a helpless keeper. Then late in the game James Sharpe made the game out of reach for the home side, a long ball forward from John Holmes was leapt upon by James Sharpe. His presistance made the keeper fumble the ball and he managed to slot the ball home with ease. |
