The two Market Bosworth football clubs are joining forces. Market Bosworth Town FC and Market Bosworth 2000 FC have finally become one club as of July 2008.
The Market Bosworth FC Chairman, Bob Sykes said 'It is up to both teams whether they will officially become one squad or whether they would like to remain two teams under one name. What it does do is reduce the clubs over heads, we can now have one FA fee and both teams sign up fees won't be as high as initially thought'
'The two clubs will remain two clubs for this season as we couldn't register them as one enterity in time for the FA. However, it has been agreed that as of next season they will become one.'
Market Bosworth 2000 manager, Mark Smith, said 'These are exciting times for the club. With the Chairman making sure there are strong foundations, it is important that the clubs at the top are strong as well. I am going to speak to the management at MB Town and see what happens.'
In other news, a source at the club has hinted the trailist Callum Duncan is close t signing a permanent contract with Market Bosworth 2000. Smith commented 'I'm just back from me holidays but we'll see what happens'.
